Our Story

Podut has been home to generations of families who have cultivated the land, raised their children, and maintained strong cultural traditions. The name "Podut" itself carries deep meaning in our local dialect, representing unity and strength.

Our community was formally established when early settlers recognized the fertile land and strategic location within Poyameri Parish. Over the decades, Podut has grown from a small settlement into a thriving community with essential institutions including St. Luke Poduti Church and St. Luke Primary School.

Today, Podut stands as a testament to the resilience and unity of its people, balancing respect for tradition with progress and development for future generations.
